When my onions had finished in one of my raised beds, I planted out some of my outdoor toms which were just in pots at the side of the gh. Today, I took the last few green toms off them to ripen inside, and removed the old tommy plants. Between where 2 of the toms were there was a small tayty plant with the foliage down. Hardly anything left actually. I had a rumage and got enough spuds to do a decent fry ofchips tommorow. They must have been volunteers from last years spuds which were in that bed. Nicer looking spuds than this years crop tbh.

My best spuds this year came from a volunteer growing in with my turnips! No idea where it came from as I hadn't grown spuds for two years. I think the voles did it! I will never know for sure.
My best tomatoes also came from a plant that appeared from nowhere in my leek bed rather late on in the season. I didn't plant any. I'm trying to overwinter it from cutting now. No idea of the variety mind you.Comment

Found a Courgette plant growing in my bean row so moved it into a crate and it produced more than my other plants put together
I can only think that the seed had come out of the compost bin.Location....East Midlands.Comment
