It's all paved out the front of my house. I have everything growing out there in pots. I prefer planting stuff I can use, though will be adding a couple of troughs next year for flowers and a bit of colour.
I have a big pot with Rosemary in it, two smaller ones with mint and two with lavender.
The mint has died right back. Should I cut the dead stems off to ground level? The mint came from my mum's house and the roots just stayed in a bucket over last winter. I was going to take them out of the pot and put them in a bucket and leave it in the back garden over winter before re-planting out front in the spring. Does that sound ok?
The lavender is just beginning to die back. What should I do with it?
The rosemary is looks fine. Is it ok to leave it outside as is over winter or should I move it inside?
Are there any herbs I could plant in the pots for over winter or is it too late to start now and would I be better going to the garden centre and getting some winter flowers?
