Spinach is one thing, KG. I read recently that Samish spinach is a good one for now as it will go on over winter, with a bit of protection. -

Garlic, overwintering onions, an early spring crop of peas and broad beans, spring cabbage.
Depends whether you mean sow now for near term cropping, I'm looking to 2015, going to be a great year....Comment

If no suitable crop (and there aren't many at this time of year, and perhaps even fewer that are likely to succeed well) then another option is to sow a Green Manure to cover and improve the soil over winter.Originally posted by kitchengardener View Post
