If any of you are close to north Cumbria/the Borders there's a great source of cheap MPC at the moment. William Sinclair (producers of the J. Arthur Bowers and New Horizon compost ranges) are closing down their Bolton Fell peat works and are selling off bagged composts at £1 each across the board. Yes, I know it's peat based but it's already out of the ground and processed so we might as well make use of it. A 56 litre bag for £1 is a bargain however you look at it.
I loaded 10 assorted bags into the car today which should see to all my container needs next year when mixed with home-made compost.
