^^^^^ A fab thread and I always meant to make my own system and never got round to it and suddenly it was January again! I bought one of these in a sale (£10 off if not more) Garland Grow Light Garden - G139 | Grow Lights I stood it on a heat mat in my back room and it made a huge difference to my toms, peppers cucumbers etc etc etc. OH thought I was mad when I bought it but he commented a few weeks later on what a huge difference it had made. I'm just filling it now with herbs to keep going over the winter to see how that works. I just need to find somewhere warmer to keep it, really. I did a bit of reading and found out that once the light went off to cover it to keep all other light out. ALso the plants only need a few hours, they have to have a rest in the dark to grow well. Someone will come along in a minute with all the specs.

Ed:- the only thing I don't like about it is that the height adjustment is a bit fiddly which is a pain if you have it low and need to water but I still love it!
