    Where can I get cheap hessian sacks for spuds?

    So I've just about run out of sacks for all the spuds I've dug up early due to blight.
    Does anyone know of a cheap supplier of hessian sacks which does not involve excessive delivery charges.
    Other ideas will also be appreciated.

    I use paper feed sacks, that is what most spuds are packed in.

          I made my own from hesion fabric,got from a skip,you can get some paper sacks for nothing,from your chip shop,but tell them they have to be clean,as not just dumped along with other waste,one shop did this to me,they stunk of dead fish,another one was fine,a Friday or Saturday night might be a good idea,as they often busy cooking more chips,and not actually chucked them,also ask if they will save you some nice clean one's,

                    Going to the local fish and chip shop is a great idea - I was in last night, I've now got a perfect excuse to go again in the next few days.

                              Not seen them, but they sound a bit "fine weave"? My Hessian potato sacks are quite "open weave" and let lots of air in as a consequence.
