  • French bean leaves going yellow??

For some reason my previously perfect cosse violette french beans are dying back? Google tells me it's the cold but I thought they would be good for another month or two? I suppose they have given me plenty of beans but..

If as you say "they have given me plenty of beans" could they be needing a bit of extra feeding, I wonder if they have been prolific the soil may now be lacking in nutrients.

Could be old age! My Firestorm runners started to do the same I gave them a good whack of high nitrogen feed and they have picked up so will go a little longer.

They are simply coming to the end of their life, but autumn's about a month early this year. I have already dried & stored French beans, which normally aren't ready until mid Sept.
