I have a rather nice potted Lavender plant that I purchased from a market stall and repotted as soon as I got home.... it was way to small. It's doing very nicely but as I do, I go and read about the best thing to plant things in.
It is in a mix of normal garden soil with broken crock at the bottom for drainage (with holes in the pot as usual). I water it when it needs it as it is not in the ground and dries out quicker.
Should I have used potting compost with perlite or grit instead? I know that they like poor soil and don't like overwatering when they are established.
Do they need feeding? I read that some potash is good... anyone here bother?
