    Glaskin perpetual rhubarb

    Hi peeps,i now have 3 lovely plants of these raised from seed from the swap,this is the first year they are actually producing lovely stems,i am really liking the taste,better than the others i have....the reason for my post is,
    I will need to get them up and move to another place before end of the year,on goglin they are an evergreen,sooooo,when would the best time be,they are growing great guns at the mo,i have moved the other sort of plants before,and they grew,i was wondering if it's the same with this one to,

    Any advice welcome please,

    I move evergreens in the spring but I have no experience of your glaskin rhubarb, in the spring they will just grow away....good luck..

      I was a bit confused by the perpetual bit as all rhubarb is perpetual in the sense that the plants keep producing year after year. I see that they mean it has a longer harvesting season because of its low oxalic acid content which can't be bad.

      Evergreen?? not if it's rhubarb. The leaves will die off at the end of the season and the plants can be lifted and moved during their dormant period (winter)

        Hi lottie, would you mind me asking how old your rhubarb plants are? I've got the same variety as you and my plants are 2 years old but I've not had a decent harvest from them yet.

            HI,that is what it is called,on googling,it says evergreen,

              Hi,this is the 3rd year after sowing the seed,planted them in ground last year,they were very slow to take of,but they going well now,i would assume that they were getting established,in all aprox 2.5 years since the seeds were sown,looks like i will have to take a chance,the worse that will happen is,set them back a year,when i go lottie will get a pic for you,
