  • Black eggs on my sweetcorn

I found these today on my sweetcorn. Does anyone know what it is? And how do I get rid?

I've tried brushing them off but they fell down the sweet corn leaves.

A bit difficult to see from your photo - but I don't think they are eggs - eggs are usually 'glued' to the host plant so they stay safe until they hatch.

It is more likely to be insect frass - you could try hosing the plants down.

I can't see anything, just a big green leaf with a caterpillar poop on it

That's because it's hiding down the barrel of the plant. Caterpilla love to eat silks, they hide waiting for them to emerge and then scoff them. What you have there is their poops! You could pour a little water down it to see if it encourages it to move out of the centre of the corn.
