  • Clematis

Hi All, I've just had delivered some Clematis (Top to Bottom). They are Jumbo Plants ,can anyone advise me how far apart to plant them. I don't want to telephone Thompson & Morgan because you are listening to adverts and weird music for about 10 rpt 10 minutes.

The website says pot them on till big enough to plant out in the final position. You can grow them in containers too. I wouldn't plant two clematis in the ground within a yard or so of each other - I dot them around to climb through things like my roses or up the bare fence. Don't forget to bury the base of the stem by at least 3" - this means the plant sends up stems from ground level and also protects against losing the plant to clematis wilt.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
