  • new tobacco grower help needed

hi, my name is jackie and im new on this site,in fact i didnt know there was such things as online gardening clubs untill i googled for advice,im happy to have found yous!
ive loved gardening since my early 20s,and have quite green fingers,i owned an allotment for quite a few years untill my circumstances meant i couldnt look after it,so its my own garden now,or should i say for now.
im looking for advice from growers who have tried growing tobacco, mine are thriving with huge leaves ,but seem to be flowering to early,ie at 2 to 3 foot instead of 5, any advice would be great, and thankyou in advance

Hello Jackie, hope you find the Vine helpful, I have learnt so much over the last year. Sorry can't help with your tobacco plants, someone else will be able to help I'm sure.

Hello Jackie and welcome to the Grapevine.
I haven't a clue about tobacco but I've seen the other thread about growing it so hope you find the answers there.
It would help us to answer your questions if we knew, roughly, where you live. There is such a variation in climate thoughout the UK (and the rest of world) as you could live anywhere!!
Please could you add your location to your profile

Plants flower early when they're stresed usually, from being too hot, or underwatered, not enough root room, or not given their exact growing conditions.
Work ut which one you've got, and you're there
