  • Wild flower mix id please :)

Bought a couple of wild flower mix boxes from a pound shop and some I am unable to identify.
Any help would be mucho appreciated!
A couple of the photos are different angles of the same plant, some are flowering and some aren't - some might be weeds - it's hard to know what i have actually planted and what has planted itself!

Picture no 2 with the white flowers is a shepherd's purse (long heart shaped seed pods) which is a weed. Sorry, not too familiar with wild flowers myself so I can't identify the others.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Thanks Jeanied - the chickens will feast on (quite a lot of) that later!

The pink one looks a bit like Ragged Robin and the blue one could be Flax.
Really need to see each flower with its leaf to be sure.
Not certain what plant is what in the first set of photos. The main thing is - if you like it, keep it, whatever it is

The blue-dark purple one is bell shaped and has leaves like a foxglove furry and thick, only one lone flower on it.
The pink one which sort of looks like a stock or ragged robin is not as ragged as it looks in the photo, it got a bit wind battered before I had time to take a photo of it.
The pale blue one is so very pretty - my photos are rubbish!

they are notoriously difficult to grow, not least because they're often weeded out before they're positively ID'd.

It never really works to just throw seed down: it's much better to sow them into modules and plant them out. Saves time & frustration in the long run

This site may help you ancee, it has thumbnail pics of masses of wildflowers which you can compare to yours, as you can see them more clearly than we can.

I can see flax, love-in-a-mist, nasturtium, bellflower, shepherds purse, the pink one may be campion, and the bluey-grey strappy leaves may be cornflower.
