  • What's this anyone?

Just curious to know what this is. I spared it the spade whilst preparing a plot for a new tenant.

Is it an allium of some sort? If so it'll smell of onions

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

No scent of any kind, it just has long strappy leaves at the base and grows to about 1m tall. I thought along the lines of a Helebore.

Thank you for identifying it for me. I hope it will produce seed sometime soon.

Yes, they are very pretty but they are real thugs like spanish bluebells. Every year I have to dig out at least half of them or they would swamp my flower beds. They still come back in force the following spring like nothing happened. Bees love them just like all alliums.
I think they are best restricted to a "wild" patch.
