    Fed up and giving up

    Some of you might have noticed that I've not been on for a while well my surgery didn't go to we'll and I'm facing another foot op may even need a feel ankle replacement!

    With that looming over me I've decided it's in the best interest of my family to give the plot up and relocate to Yorkshire as I have no family support here since my dad's passing!

    I will be going back to growing on pots in the garden so your not getting rid of me that easily

    Sorry to hear you are giving up your plot. Hope any future ops are more of a success than this one. Good luck with your move, your going to nice place in the world. Keep in touch.

      Sorry to hear about your foot bud While Yorkshire is not Wales it's still a nice place to live

      Glad you will still be growing,even in a small way .. Growing is Growing .. & your banned from leaving the forums,because VC will shortly say so Seriously though I hope the move goes smoothly & you settle in to your new home in the shortest time & finally don't be a stranger on here

        Really sorry to hear this Darcy. Hope it all works out better for you oop North.
        I'm going to miss you - living up the road a bit.

            Oh, really sorry to hear about your foot, Darcy. ((HUGS)) That's awful news. I hope you're not in too much pain with it.

            Is Yorskshire your home? Where is your heart? What do your family want to do? Will all be well if you relocate? Sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, it's just that this seems like a big decision, made in perhaps the wrong frame of mind. After all, the foot/ankle will be with you wherever you are, so I'm just wondering if relocation is the answer...

            Feel free to tell me to bog off and mind my own business, although I mean no offence.

                Ha only kidding the move has been thought about a lot my wife has been doing closes in work as I'm still not driving she is closing and getting home at 3 in the morning then up at 730 to sort the kids she then does what she needs to does the school run and off to work again.

                our theory is as her parents are from up noorf at least they can do a few school runs or even have the kids so my wife can have some down time!! She has been offered an internal transfur through work so finding a job is not a problem!

                Just think it's going to improve our situation somewhat as we have wrote down all the pro's and cons and the pros outweigh the cons 10 fold

                      Well from the sound of it, what you're doing now isn't working for you, but you're doing something about that to make life better for you and those round you. So from that perspective, I'm not feeling sorry about you losing the lottie, just happy that you're facing the problems head on and working towards a better life. Lots of people on here achieving good things in pots, and i have every confidence you'll do the same. Best of luck with all future interventions on the foot, and don't be a stranger on here

                            Hello Darcy, I had noticed your absence,so sorry to hear about your not so good foot,do hope it improves.

                            Your plan sounds sensible and good for all of you. Yorkshire is lovely, I love it up there, my eldest son lives in Pudsey, nr Leeds, and we have had wonderful times staying at various locations, love both the Dales and the Moors, and the Coast, so that's all of it really. if you can grow stuff in pots, be easy just to open your door and grab yourself a strawberry, cabbage or bean!
