have been away forsa few days and come back to find out my onions are covered in rust. do i just leave them or do i pull them up. any help appreciated

Leave them until ready to harvest. I pulled a couple of mine the other day as they were starting to lean. I always get rust but doesn't seem to be too detrimental.Comment

Ditto ^^ if you are concerned you can trim off just the badly affected leaves with no detrimental effects to the plant,although I don't bother for the reason noted above
