Can anyone help me with my rambling rose, a david austin, paul's himalayan musk. I bought it last year and it was fine putting plenty if growth on and starting to cover the shed like I wanted it to, this year it was putting on lots of growth but all of a sudden it looks pale and has done anything for a few months.

    Any ideas?

Can you post a clearer picture of just one leaf. Is the leaf the same on both sides? Are the roots dry?
Or conversely I'm wondering whether the roots have sat in water over the winter and as it was newly planted, and therefore not an extensive root system, it has rotted away. It looks like it's had just enough energy to grow a few leaves and given up. I would have an exploratory dig around the roots. Or give it a tug. Can you pull it out the ground?

Its either in bone dry soil or more likely it got drowned with all the previous winters wet. One of my poor shrubs nearly drowned as well but slowly recovering. I hope your rose recovers.
