  • Poorly looking Brasicas

I have a number of cabbages, cauliflowers and sprouts still in the greenhouse waiting to be planted out looking a bit pale.

My bet is they have depleted the food in the MPC, I dont have any tea's so what can I use to pep them up? Would tomrite help?

    Due to go out Sunday

I think you are right about the nutrient depletion, I have some similar but nowhere to plant them just yet. A Nitrogen feed may help.

Something quick & easy would be a nettle mulch.

It may not be a quick fix but won't do any harm. Have a look at your fertilisers & see if you have one with more Nitrogen........Either way something is better than nothing.

Could you not just pot them on to bigger pots with fresh compost? I'm not knocking the use of sulphate of ammonia, but I've only used it when the plants are in the ground and have other nutrients to feed on as well

Going to put them out Sunday Flo, just trying to pep them up a bit. Got a new problem now though, just taken a rather large lump out of my head in greenhouse. ...Mrs GL says it needs stitching so off to A&E
