    Not only do I have potatoes growing in my onion bed, I now have mushrooms!

    I can't even get mushrooms to grow in my mushroom bed............

      It wasn't planned! Think if I sowed some carrots, would be all ingredients for a casserole in one placeL

                      did you identify it? im good with shrooms but cant make it out without a better pic and seeing the bulb or sac of the shroom

                        No I just left them, they were quite a size, about 5 inches across, difficult to get a photo, as is growing right in with the onions. I suspect come from the bags of manure I used.

                        I'll see if I can get you better pic Bretty.

                          We have mushrooms growing amongst the tomato pots in our greenhouse. So far we have harvested around two kilos of them! BUT we did put a four inch layer of "spent" mushroom compost down first as a mulch. Obviously it wasn't completely 'spent'.

                          The ones in your original photo don't look like field type mushrooms to me, so I would be careful to identify them before you eat them! There are some very nasty ones which look a bit like that!

                            I didn't eat them, wouldn't risk it, afraid mine come from supermarket.
