  • Hello

    Hi Peeps,
My name is Janet, I am retired (sort of), and have a raised bed with a small ground plot, on an allotment at the end of my road. Very handy.

Been there a few years and still growing by trial and error. We have a committee, of which I am a member, and I recently promoted myself to Treasurer. I also volunteer in the weekend trading shed.

As I live in a flat, with just a communal garden that nobody uses, it is nice to visit the allotment, just to sometimes sit in the nice weather, with a flask of coffee, stand around talking to other plot holders, listen to the birds (or the music from the nearby estate). Oh, and do some gentle work. Sorry, just about remembered that.

I found this forum because I have a tree problem, which I will post another day. I think though that I've found the answer but do look forward to reading/writing some more posts. At the committee meeting this week I will try and find out what the rents are for the other plots. As I am on a raised bed for the less abled bodied, mine is cheaper anyway, and is now halved due to my age.

Oh, as you can gather, I do go on a bit.
    Janet
