  • Norfolk Greenhouses?

I have a small blowaway greenhouse at the moment, which I've discovered is too much in the shade and all my seedlings are leggy. I'm thinking of putting a small 6x4 greenhouse on the patch of land at the end of my garden that gets a lot more sun. Norfolk Greenhouses do a 'Junior 4' model that looks ideal. Has anyone used them? Are they good value for money?

Aologies if this has already been answered elsewhere. Searching for 'norfolk and greenhouse' didn't give me any sensible results - I think it was reading the locations in everyone's profiles!

From what I've read, they can be a little confusing to put together but people do seem to be fairly pleased with them overall.

I did a lot of internet searching when I was considering buying a greenhouse previously, I didn't really find anyone complaining about anything other than the instructions.

Yep I got a lean to off them....Instructions might as well have been in Martian ( that should be fairly PC safe )
Not the strongest GH in the world, so whatever methods you can use to strengthen it, then do it, such as silicone for the panes, placing it affixed on a wooden frame and so on..
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Or instead of a new one, get one second hand? That way, you can figure out how it fits together, as you take it down. I bought one a couple of years ago, and only put it together late last year, and it was dead easy I got mine for £50 or so from an advert in the local paper.

BB you are an evil man. I'm going to be singing that Arnold Rimmer song to myself for the next week now. Same as last time.

I got a 6x4 Norfolk greenhouse two years ago. Was a pig to put together, probably the worst part is the way the poly sheets are secured under the trim - had to cut some to size and drill a few minor holes to get it to fit. To be fair, it's a good greenhouse. I secured mine with a heavy wooden base and it didn't move during last winter's glaes. As Sarris said above, getting a second hand one off ebay or wherever is probably a better bet, even a glass one then replace with polycarb would probably be cheaper/easier.

I have One of the 6x2 greenhouses. It was fiddly to put together but it has been great since. I did advise to have two people to build and having done it on my own I would definitely recommend help.
