  • Pear wilt.

I have 4 dwarf fruit trees on my allotment. One of which is a Conference pear. It's flowered well but since the petals have fallen some of the small fruiting clusters have wilted. Not a great number though but looks worrying.:Is this normal?

    No, it is not normal.
    Has that one been frosted?
    Do you have a photograph?
    It would be helpful.
Feed the soil, not the plants.
    (helps if you have cluckies)

There has been a slight frost lately but all other blossom bar about 5-6 clusters are fine. I'll try to do a photograph though.

The flowers that haven't been pollinated will drop off pretty quickly. Are you sure the wilting fruit clusters have been pollinated?
