How far do you travel to your allotment?

I used to have one that took me about 10 minutes on my bike. I could cycle over on my lunch to go and water my tomatoes but it was a bit of a faff.

I've got one about 20 second walk away.

Mines about 6 mile away. I usually take the car and sometimes bike it or walk it in the summer.

Getting there isn't a problem but walking back after a days graft at the allotment can be tiring.

If you before you start anything,your first thought is " I can see it being a bit of a chore",then that is most probably how it will turn out.

My lottie is about a mile and a half away. Easily walk-able but I am too lazy and usually take the car

Mine is a brisk half-hour walk away. I haven't actually walked to it yet, though.

Couldnt be doing with all that, my garden is but a nano second away and when i have the laundry room full of seeds its even less. But its space I lack, my wife is already moaning about having to negotiate her way through pots bags and hoses. Seems like the only way is up for me, sort of a glass multi story car park would be ideal.

Mine was a 10 minute drive away but I could call there on my way home from work. Otherwise, I rarely got there as there was always too much to do in the home garden.
Now, I neither work or have an allotment - life is so much simpler !!

Mine's a couple of miles away, close enough to be handy but far enough that I feel I'm getting away from things (especially if I "leave" my phone behind

I can walk to my allotment in ten minutes. Easy to pop up to during lighter evenings.

Mine is about 1 and a half miles away. I do take the car at the moment cause I have one child at school and one at nursery. So at the moment by the time it would take to get there and get started it would be time to go and pick up little boy at nursery.
But am hoping that when he starts school in September it will give me the chance to walk there and back. Well that's what I'm hoping.

Mine is around 500 meters away! I can get there on my bike in around 2 minutes, or if I drive it takes 5 as I have to drive around to the other side of it where the main gates are. It's pretty convenient

Edited to add:

I have to drive to it as I'm currently digging my garden over for a new lawn / borders etc, so I'm having to carry the tools back and forth between allotment and home.

I did briefly consider getting a lottie, but it not being there when I opened the back door kind of put me off the idea. I like being able to nip outside into the garden as and when I feel like it, rather than having to go somewhere else to put a couple of hours in
