  • New Member from Olney, Maryland

Hi Folks: I am a new member in Central Maryland, US where this year we had a much delayed ground warm up for even the hardy veggies. Started as soon as snow melted in early March and did a two week successive plantings in beds of lettuce, spinach and arugula. Last weekend plant more beds with organic Russian Fingerling potatoes for the first time. Had two notes this week where it dipped into the mid 20s but the hardy leafers look good. Looking forward to reading all the good tips in some of the forums.

Hi welcome, how do the growing conditions in Maryland compare to the UK.

Welcome Mike, We are having some very peculiar weather here right now, sunny in the day yet still cold, night time temps are still 4 or 5 deg C. Got any pictures? we love pictures.
