        I notice they didn't include a piccie of one munching it's way through a tray of seedlings.

        ...probably moving too fast

              I try not to kill snails if I can avoid it. My daughter is the same, she tend to pick them up in a bucket then take them to the grass verges along the local stream.

              Slugs I feel differently about, I have no idea why I feel like I want to spare snails but I'm not so forgiving to slugs.

              Complicated soul, me.

                    Good for you re the snails! I'm the same. I don't kill. I gather them up and simply relocate them unharmed to a distant part of the garden.
                    And I do the same for slugs too.

                          Lovely pics.
                          I was showing my youngest some hibernating snails under a pot when he was a toddler as they are always interesting when not near my plants. I turned my back for a moment and they disappeared.his mouth was very full,cheeks bulging...I picked 5 out of it all still closed up!!!
