Bought four juvenile ISA Browns for a tenner, look to be about 15 to 16 weeks. Also bought 4 mixed bantams for a tenner which turned out to be all the same breed!
Seperated the newbies from my other chooks then the two sets of newbies started pecking each other. Had to seperate the new brown hens from the new banties. One of my black hens got out in the process and flew up on top of my neighbours hut. If she had jumped one way it would have been into someones garden and the other way would be back to se her mates.
Decided to adopt the old sheep motto "Leave them alone and they will come home" which she did about 10 mins later.

Now I have three seperate runs and three seperate coops. I also have three seperate feeders and three seperate water receptacles!

I'm only seperating them for a few days then they can all be joined together and form a pecking order.
