  • Damn pigs

Went down onto my land/plot/garden this morning cos there had been a lot of rain last night and discovered a number of my red onions uprooted and scattered and the last section of my broad beans - probably about 10 plants all broken down, some broken off.
Couldnt have been the wind because its quite sheltered under the embankment. Looked around and saw signs of rooting and digging all along the pathway where we have just brushcut the winters growth....
    BLASTED SANGLIER! WILD BOAR!
So we are getting our own back on Saturday by eating some.....Annual Hunt Meal....sanglier for starters, sanglier for main (and wouldnt be surprised if its not sanglier pudding too)
Just hoping they dont come back too often as they cause mayhem and there is no way I can fence off the embankment!

Oh Bummocks! Make sure you eat plenty to get even. I hear it's quite delicious, so feel free to have some on my behalf, too!

        Oh gosh...not good news.
We keep our fingers crossed they keep away from our plots. We've never seen ours but heard them in the garden a couple of times.
I'm sure the hunters will be thrilled to hear it's latest location .....

Hopefully it won't be back again...not sure, but do they have a favourite crop you'd be better not growing( thinking of not intentially encouraging them) ...I know badgers will walk miles to find sweetcorn .

        Enjoy the evening...should be fun!

Tell you what, I will swap you a wild boar for a dozen flying pigs, a bucket of snails and as many slugs as you want.
