    Fleabay Crow flies

    Why is it that when you put in your location to search for things near you its is done as the crow flies. As I'm in South Wales the bay considers Barnstable to be only a 30 miles from me as opposed to the 4 hours and 150 miles it would take me to get there!!!

    Does anyone know if there is a way of searching that isn't as the crow flies?
    I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

    I have the same problem more so when I was living it St Athan minehead was within the 10 mile bracket yet it was bl00dy miles away via Severn bridge

      There are no doubt other areas in the UK which have the same problem, Norfolk Broads, Grimsby/Hull, Felixstowe/Harwich, Gillingham/Basildon, Isle of Wight/Portsmouth, Dawlish/Exmouth, Barrow inFurness/Morecombe, Stranraer/Belfast. To name but a few, surely there must be a better way than the crow flies, or an option to go by road.

        Yeah agreed I don't see how they can't link a basic route planner into it would make a lot more sense I know it would be a lot of work but surely pay off for a company of that size!

        I remember looking at an item that I really wanted I got my hopes up as I narrowed it down to with 15 miles away.....,, yep I was disappointed when it was over 3 hours away haha

          I've been looking for a used greenhouse for about a month now, and I've got it set on distance so that I don't waste my time looking at things hours out of my way, so its a real pain when I find myself looking at things which I think are close only to discover that it would take less time to drive to London and back.
          I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

              Grrrr so have I!

              I want a decent used glass greenhouse at home for seedlings so I can heat and monitor in the spring and grow a few things over winter.

              Don't go poaching on my turf

                There was one Free on Gumtree a couple of days ago - in Penarth. A biggie too. I was tempted, very tempted.

                    Can't find it Chook, must have gone. I find gumtree gives me all sorts of things that aren't related to my search.
