    which pea

    I use to buy my seeds from netto always had good results from them
    Last year I got my peas from a diffrent supplier we're a waste of time
    I didn't take note of which type of pea netto sold
    They grew well over 6ft tall very fast growing with pods about 3-4in long and we're very heavy cropping
    last years peas barely got over 2ft tall and and 2/3 pods per plant
    Any ideas on which pea it could have been

    There are hundreds of different types of peas out there, some are tall varieties but more are dwarf. Personally I grow mainly tall ones as I think they produce more per plant and I don't have to bend down as much to harvest although I do have some dwarf ones about to start flowering in the polytunnel which I always grow as an early crop. This year the tall one's I'm growing are Pilot, Lord Leicester, Telephone, Champion of England and Harold Idle although I may also sow a few others if I can find the space. There are many other varieties although Alderman are probably the easiest to get hold of. Why don't you go to Netto again and see what they have if you liked them so much?

        Aren't they a dwarf variety (not grown them myself so not 100%), the OP was saying their Netto ones were over 6' tall.

          I'm sure you're right Alison. I did a search for "Netto" and "Peas" and that thread http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...tml#post624437 came up.
          I've never been to a Netto so haven't a clue what they sold

              Thanks for the recommendations will try a few diffrent varieties
              And see what happens.
              Asda bought out netto and are no longer trading in the UK
              Will order some online tonight

                  Lost all my seed when I moved to a new site. My shed developed
                  A leak in the roof which filled my seed box With water.
                  Almost everything germinated even in the packets
                  but when you plant them in soil nothing!
