  • Pygmy cherry tree

    Hi,
    Please have a look at the two pictures of a patio cherry tree [Kordia]. The first picture is just to give an overview but the second picture highlights my query. The tree has been grafted just where you can see little 'fingers' growing which I presume will grow no more and are possibly roots. It is below the graft I have a question. Small leafy branches are growing. As these are below the graft am I correct in saying I should remove these and any subsequent ones. The same is happening with the sister tree beside it. Thanks.

    Yes, they are "suckers". Take them off (as close to the trunk as you can).
