I saw that plant and thought it was quite interesting. So looked on line and found a couple advertised on ebay but also this place to.

I have a packet of seeds and it says to sow in late summer / autumn. Personally I'm not keen on the taste but OH likes it and I've used a sprig or two in sloe gin.

Three times I tried growing from seed, no germination.
So I bought a couple of plants on eBay.

I'm not keen on the taste but the plant is gorgeous in the garden.

I grow it, although it is rare in garden centres. The leaves smell strongly of aniseed, and it grows just about anywhere you put it.

Have you tried growing Stevia (Sweet herb of paraguay)? The leaves are really sweet, but the plants are tender.

I've tried three times with seed over the last two years, and still no joy. I put it in the fridge for six weeks because it needs chilling to let it know winter has passed, but still the seeds won't grow. They don't rot away either, though, so it has me a bit confused

I think I shall have to buy a plant, but I hate to be defeated like this.

Does anyone have a good tip for getting the seed to grow?
