Couldn't find anywhere else to put this!

They're all over ebay's gardening section...... May I ask, what is the forum's opinion on cane grips? Are they worth the money?

I notice they're made of plastic, hardened plastic, but still plastic... In full sun? How many years do they last for?

I presume you mean to use for wigwams (for beans etc). I just tie mine together.

What are they? Are they the things for making bamboo canes into wigwams?

I use stretchy stringy as it doesn't rot during the season.

If you mean as said above the jobbies for producing wigwams, my advice would be don't bother.

I bought some a few years back and they lasted 2 seasons before bits started breaking off.

                    Thank you for the replies.

Two reasons I asked. Usually grow them in sticked lines, but the super charged storms - which look like they could be the norm from now on - bashed everything down and made me think wig-wams would be a much more sensible option in future (though I guess yield will be a little less).
The other reason was a hand injury.

I'm still open-minded about the cane grips. I can see both sides to the argument.
A bit pricey for a bit of moulded plastic shipped in from China...
Then again for speed and convenience. Plus if you suffered from arthritis or something they'd be invaluable.
                    Food for thought.

I've used them for about the last 8 years, think one of them has broken but that was left up all winter when I didn't get round to tidying away. They're pretty cheap so give it a go.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
