I'm a woose when it comes to chilli's - so have opted for Lemon Drop this year, alongside Cayenne as think they are about as hot as i can handle!

Although i was thinking about some Scotch Bonnet's to use for my chilli jam - be a nice surprise for friends as they usually get a jar as part of their Xmas hamper!

for jams and sauces, habaneros are far better (in my opinion), than using cayenne etc...

As habaneros are very flavourful/citrussey and fruity.

Quality reading, thanks for this darcy. So the hottest chilli's I've currently got growing are Naga Jolokia's. The plants are looking really healthy and green. Hoping the fruit are really hot!!

I can't see how its an exact science anyway as growing conditions can vary the heat ..to me its just a rough guide with a few surprises

The level of stress and lack of water makes them hotter so if you leave plants in watered for a few days when there a pod on that pod will be hotter once you catch up with regular watering if you know what I mean
