  • Polytunnel Frame Covered with netting

I have been thinking lately about having a Brassica Tunnel, something I can walk into, and I thought about the Walk in wonder wall but can't really justify the price I thought about trying to make one out of MDPE but it seemed to be very flimsy so have now though about getting a Polytunnel frame and putting a net overtop to make a big cage instead. Has anyone got or seen one of these and what do they think?

MDPE is too thin- you want the larger diameter (50mm+) gas/mains pipe.. Some chap on my allotment site has one, it's quite cool.

Or, look for a poly tunnel frame on ebay.

Do you need to be able to stand up in your Brassica netting? I have mine netted just taller than the plants and can easily roll back / lift up for weeding, and then picking. I can post link to pictures if you think that might be sufficient.

I did a polytunnel out of the bigger stuff! (Gas Pipe)

Tying it in to the "Greenhouse" was a bit of a bind! But did manage it in the end!

Mark! I did notice your last few posts were all about "Brassica protection" Thought about a "Wonder Wall" myself, n came to the same conclusion! Costs etc, then moving it regarding crop rotation would be a "Nightmare"

Still rolling the cog's! n if I do come up with a solution, you'll be the first to know! But need to get my skates on! Coz there is no way, after having to share my prized plants last year to the little critters!

There gunna get the same luxury this season!
