  • Currently under your lights are??

I thought I might start this thread to see what everyone has under there lights!

I know everyone's will be roughly the same right now but thinking that it may be a useful thread throughout the year as mine get tucked away once the chillies are out as I don't really know what I can do with them but maybe use it late October through to mid January when there's not much else going on.

I have tomatoes, chillies, sprouts and PSB!

    What's under yours??

Lettuce lollo rossa and salad bowl mix, Provencale salad mix, pak choi, spinach, psb, beetroot (all for baby leaves), peas (for pea shoots), cabbage hispi, 2 peppers (snackbite orange) and a couple of tomato cuttings (Shirley).

Very soon to be joined by leeks and more peas (this time for planting out later).

I think I turned my lights off sometime around late August after I'd finished sowing and growing on last year.

I had tiny tomato plants under the lights from September to jan but the fruits were rather tasteless so I abandoned the experiment. I grew electric daisies to a good size. Now I've got my spring seeds started under cos my garden is shaded until April and I'm hoping the small plants will give me a months headstart from where I am usually at.

Currently have 10 tomato plants, 20 chilli plants and 2 small trays of emerging seeds along with a try of lobelia all other plants have now been placed in the greenhouse. My first year of using lights and have been amazed at the results my toms and chillis were planted at the beginning of February , toms are about 6/7 inches tall, chilli plants are about 3 inches all strong healthy plants

Just curious, are they on the "warm side"? I put my Cabbagey things in the cold greenhouse and try not to give them any extra heat.
