    What is the latest fruit trees can be pruned?

    Question is primarily for apple trees (not mine, in this case). But also applies to pear, peach, and cherry. With the exception of peach, which is a free standing dwarf something or other, all trees are being trained as espaliers against a wall. Don't know if that makes a difference? Following the mild winter, some trees are starting to bud - maybe I'm already too late..?

    First of all stone fruits are pruned when in leaf so you are too early from them. They are prone to silverleaf if pruned when dormant.
    As far as your apple tree is concerned, you are near me and thinking about my crab apple I'd say you could get away with it now, but don't hang around.
