  • New Chickens Arrive...yay!

Well, today we finally got our new hens. They weren't supposed to arrive until Monday but the coup and run were ready so we made a call to the supplier who had them available and was willing to see us now, so off we went. An hour later and we had three Blackrock hybrids at home. I was looking for five but, even though they were available now, decide to take three for the time being.
I'm really pleased with them, it's taken some planning and two weeks hard work getting ready but it's truly worth it. To say I'm happy is an undestatement, can't wait for the morning to let them out into the new run.

A couple of photos to show them off. There are more on my new blog, feel free to have a look.

They look lovely Brom. Can u tell them apart? I put coloured leg rings on mine when I had 3 warrens. You do realise that you will get nothing useful done tomorrow as you will keep watching your new girls!

                  More Piccies

Ja9, can't tell them apart, not yet anyway, maybe coloured rings are the way to go, good idea that.

Nicos asked for some more piccies, so here they are. Nearly didn't get any, it was blowing a gale when I let them out this morning, they took one look and went back inside, can't really blame them, I didn't stay out long myself.
