  • looking forward to veg chat

Hi everyone, we have a veg patch in our garden in somserset, we've lived here two years, so that was one slug filled year with little grown and one slightly more successful year with some proudly grown funny shaped carrots and a 27Kg pumpkin! Looking forward to learning from everyones tips and experience on here! Sarah

Welcome to the vine Sarah & your chucks......you're in the right place for veggy chat. Keep hold of your funny veg for the showcase at the end of the year.

Welcome, You could say you were not growing slugs but chook food. Its all a learning process, I have been gardening for years and am still just learning the basics but its great fun doing that. I have this vision of being on my death bed and one of my children bringing in a carrot, waking me up and saying "Dad you finaly grew a straight bugger"

They seem to prefer the helpful worms and are addicted to strawberries, and tomatoes if they spot a greenhouse door left open. Give us a lot of entertainment though, looking forward to the tales of slugs and chooks to come from u all then!
