I am looking to purchase a new greenhouse. I really dont know what brands I should be looking at. I know I want an automatic opening vent and a bottom louvre. Anything else?

You need to decide size, as big as you can get both price and location wise. No matter how big, spring always sees you wishing for more....
Glass or polycarbonate is next choice, personally I'm partial to glass, however with young kids polycarbonate is safer.
How tall are you? Do you want to build a small retaining wall to place it on?
Pots or permanent beds?

Well from previous time years ago when I had a second hand one, it was single door - that was fine for me. Steel colour is ok, I'm not bothered about having it green.Originally posted by bearded bloke View Post

A lot depends on your location, particularly how much wind the greenhouse is going to be exposed to. If it were in a sheltered suburban back garden I'd be happy with a budget priced one, like something in the Halls range. But if you're at all exposed you will want to get something more sturdy. See the thread on here this week for a picture of a cheap greenhouse blown away in the gales!Comment

I have a Rhino Premium and love it. Incredibly strong and just feels high quality. Can't fault it at all. Greenhouses Direct were able to recommend someone to install it who did a good job.Comment
