  • Good Herb/Allotment books

I already have some great books which relate to growing veg, but want to get something informative and interesting about herbs, as I plan to start a new mini herb garden at the allotment next year.

I saw Jekka's Complete Herb Book: In Association with the Royal Horticultural Society: Amazon.co.uk: Jekka McVicar: Books

(Jekka's complete herb book) and thought it looked good, I was just wondering if anyone has used it themselves or has any advice on good herb literature?

    Thanks!

I have an older edition of the book she co-wrote with Matthew Biggs and Bob Flowerdew which also talks about veg and fruit growing. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Boo...lete+herb+book

I looked at one of the pages on your link and it was pretty much a cut and paste of the same entry in my own book. What I don't know is whether the herb-specific book has entries on a wider range of herbs or not, but don't get both books as you're sure to end up with duplicate info.

I picked up this a few months back! The Ultimate Book of Herbs: The Definitive A - Z of Herbs and How to Grow and Use Them: Amazon.co.uk: Reader's Digest: Books

Brilliant, very informative and as you can see from the reviews, seems other's seem to think so too!

Thanks Deano, I went for the Jekka book, before I saw your suggestion, but I appreciate it nonetheless.
