    Bubble-wrapping a greenhouse

    If you wanted to insulate your GH with bubblewrap but didn't have enough to do all of it, where would you line first:-

    A the roof
    B the sides
    C the north side
    D none of it until you had enough to do all of it
    E its a waste of time doing any of it
    F any other options.

    Just asking out of curiosity

        You could drape it down to create a smaller section within the greenhouse...

          I suppose it depend on what you're going to grow and if you're using heating as well, all I have in my are GH are a few toms that haven't gone ripe yet then some winter lettuce so I'll be leaving my GH as it is.

            Because warm air rises, I would be tempted to insulate the roof first. The downside is that it would create condensation.

              I would go for the roof too. if there is enough headroom, I'd stretch the bubble-wrap straight across at eaves height or just above, not go up into the apex of the roof. Saves on bubble-wrap, and reduces the volume of the greenhouse, so less space to warm up.

                Thanks for all your interesting suggestions
                I have enough BW to do one GH or I could selectively do bits of 2 of them, maybe even all 3 GHs. Obviously, I could go and buy more BW but I'm really curious to hear what your views are.

                  I'vs done virtually all my greenhouse. I left the roof vent to allow some ventilation. It is on the south side and the panels either side of the door. As it is such a small greenhouse they are only narrow strips.
                  I like the idea of not insulating into the apex of the roof. I'll have to check how much head room I'd have though! Limbo greenhouse gardening!! Sad person that I am I have labelled all the sections so I can reuse next year.

                    It could be 2 ft off floor and VC could still walk in unhindered.....

                        That's not sad Wendy - I've been reusing the same BW for years.
                        What I've done is run a wire along the apex and another wire at the eaves. The BW is in a long length so I thread it over the wire in the apex until I reach the midpoint (2 equal lengths hanging down). then take each length and thread it behind the wire at the eaves so that it falls to ground level. Then you only have to secure those bits to the glass and use a few pegs to fix the side by side lengths together. I know what I mean!!
