  • When to buy?

    Hi all,

Just received permission from the Parish Council to put up a proper polytunnel , we have only had blowaway tunnels before.

I'm allowed 8'x25' max so that is what I'm intending to get.

My question to you more experienced types is about when to buy for max value for money.

Is there much discounting by the manufacturers prior to Christmas or in the new year sales or perhaps early spring?

It wouldn't be going up until next year so I'm happy to wait if I can get a better price- what's your experience?

It varies to be honest. I think mine was bought January time and I did indeed get some offer or other at the time. Didn't get around to putting it up until the end of February as it was too bloomin' cold but it was great to have it ready by the time I wanted to plant stuff in it in mid spring and a Feb erection did mean that I could sort the bed out inside it when it was still rather cold outside

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
