  • What to do?

............With twelve large bunches of homegrown pink grapes when I don't drink!

I haven't harvested them yet but if I don't do it soon they will start splitting!

Make Humungous Pink Grape juice or jelly

Anything appeal to you here ? BBC - Food - Grapes recipes
Saw something about roasting grapes too - could be interesting.
I like eating them in a brown bread sandwich with Cambozola

No need to wine about veggies answer.

I dont care how many you have I would eat em with unpasteurised mature cheddar and home made bread.

Maybe throw a grapes and cheese party for your favourite charity.

Offer them in the local paper in exchange for something you do want.

Candied grapes Candied grapes (budou ame) recipe : SBS Food

Freeze them and use them for catapult ammunition or for moving large heavy boxes (quickly)

          I'm done.

I'd juice them if not making wine.

We will have about 40-50 bunches of red grapes soon, and will be making wine.

Thought about using some of them to make a base for chilli jam? The rest I'll just juice and freeze the juice until I decide what to do with it methinks? Grape lollipos?

That ^^^^ doesn't sound very original and exciting Snadger
Why don't you freeze some whole, and eat them like mini icelollies? Or stick them in drinks instead of ice cubes or on icecream?

Wrap some quails in bacon and roast in a nice slow oven with some garlic cloves for about 50 mins. Get your grapes, and seed them if necessary then squeeze them in your hands. Add the squashed grapes and the resulting juice to the pan and you have a lovely sauce. Heat gently and serve with garlicky croutons and salad.

funnily enough just watching the lovely Carol the weatherlady on an organic vineyard in Enfield. Their grapes won't be ready to harvest for 2 - 3 weeks but they will be making sparkling wine

p.s. Just did a gurgle to find out Carol's surname. Apparently, she's the thinking man's weather lady. I don't understand that.

                    ermhh excuse the tangentisation

Alcohol with hops or grapes..........there's the link.......see you aren't really THAT tangential!
Is ok anyway, I tend to be quite tangential also............

Original and exciting eh?....................how many grape lollies have you ever tasted VC?

Or have you a penchant for Cabernet Sauvignion lollies?

Actually Snadge, I've never eaten a grape lolly - I made it up to keep you entertained
I'm the sort of chicken who prefers her grapes fresh, straight off the bunch. - especially big pink juicy ones. So I wouldn't be messing about with them, just eating the lot until I was sick

PS - Is that a bottle of beer in the hand of someone who doesn't drink

In the words of Val Doonigan "I wanna tell you a story"

That picture is one of the reasons I gave up the drink. Holidaying in Majorca some years ago I got bladdered on San Miguel (As you do) and just before midnight decided to jump into the hotel pool fully clothed. Security man tried to help me out and I tried to pull him in.
When I did eventually get out I chased him round the pool and retrieved my drink. That picture was taken by my Son In Law who thought it was hilarious. I had my drink in my hand but I was wringing wet!
