  • Harrogate National Vegetable Show Video

Did a video of all the exhibits at the National Vegetable Show at Harrogate this weekend.
Bit of a nightmare to do as it was so busy and the background noise isn't the best.
But the vegetable exhibits are stunning.
Please have a look at my Veg Growing Diary.

Lovely pictures! I'm so disappointed we didn't get to go, the bus we were booked to go on today didn't turn up! I was looking forward to getting some plant bargains.

Just got back, from my first time to Harrogate, really enjoyed it. Not my thing but I have to agree that the show veg was very impressive. Looking forward to the spring show.

We went (but the original plan got binned) the mahoosive leeks were impressive, but strangely I spent longer in the flower tent
The bit that really let it down was ...............

Not a nice sociable bar ............ their version was a tea tent ........... them at Gardeners World are proper lightweights

                        I was there matey .

Entered 3 Caulies - too small , 12 peas unplaced -dickie judging and a collection of 2 each of three 20 point veg. I tabled celery, caulies and peas. 7th equal in a large number of entries but importantly, the chap I was equal with is my pal who masquerades as "Smithyveg". To lose to him would have been unbearable for the next year

I have to say that the standard of the veg on show was stunning as Dan has said in the OP. There were 41 or 42 entries in the stump carrot class. Absolutely amazing. I'm just glad I wasn't doing the judging. Getting any ticket in a class that size is a huge achievement so my congratulations also Dan

I think the Pea class was quite astounding for all the wrong reasons but not to lose to your "Friend" and mine Smithy is more important....
