And if you follow the stems back it will be rooted somewhere.

I was gonna say bindweed or a dainty walking cucubit.
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

Had a good look tonight can't see any leaves or roots its just like string
It's turning from yellow to orange
Definitely parasitic no contact with the soil.

                Very strange thing?

Curious! Looking closer at your original photo whatever it is seems to be growing round plants in a celltray. Where is the celltray, and what plants are in it?

Well spotted RL!! The plants look as if they need potting on so why not hoick it out and see what the roots look like. I bet you'll find something in there that shouldn't be there!!

                      Its growing on rocket
I don't bother to pot it on just grow it in cell trays in racks off the ground

Think I've found out what it is
                      Cuscuta japonica or Japanese Dodder

I've had a good look around and found it here

                      Galleria Carnivora: Invasive organisms

It grows from seed in the soil then severs it connection with soil then feeds from the host plant

Really? Just had a look on the web and Cuscuta Japonica is a huge vine that grows on trees. No mention of it occurring in the UK either, though it causes problems in the USA apparently.

                          Hundreds of different varieties apparently
also used in chinese herbal remedies.

erb! Thats good for the libido apparently

Possibly mixed in with the rocket seed or compost from Lidl
Compost had lots of little mushrooms growing in it.

                          Keep eat or get rid

But you're not even sure it is Japanese Dodder. I certainly wouldn't eat anything I couldn't positively identify.
