there is broccoli which have all come through and are turning, the rest are cauli's beetroot turnip (only 3 have properly come through carrots only 3 again, lettuce all have come through. There is something else in there but cant think what it is atm x

Did you sow seeds directly into the soil Jen, or were they plants that you planted out?
I've sown seeds recently but this hot dry weather has stopped them germinating. Once the weather returns to normal (wet and warm) I expect them to come up.

yeah I put them straight in the soil, watered them, every other night . I dunno must be one of them freak things x

Maybe it's just me, but I now expect some things to work and some things not to - and there's never any consistency to it either! Last year for example I had loads of dwarf french beans, this year I'm struggling to get any to grow at all. I suspect it pays to grow a range of stuff in the hopes that 'something' will work! I'd have been so sad this year if I'd only planted garlic and potatoes, both of which are rubbish, but I'm currently living on peas and strawberries which have been fantastic ... having totally unpredictable weather doesn't help does it?

They are becoming holey, lol I hope this is how they are meant to go lol. Ill take a pic of my little plot later to show you guys, you might be able to guess whats in there lol

Holes will wither be from catapillars or pidgeons I think.

do you have any netting over them at all ?

Sorry if I'm being dense (yeah, yeah, you lot), but when you say some of your veg is growing and some not, do you mean that you've had patchy germination from the seeds that you've sown?

This is just the patch in general see how some of the lettuce has come through and there is one by its self?? Although I do think the dog moved the seeds when he ran across

These are my sweet peas, the left ones are really struggling where as the right ones has shot up?

Anyone know what this is, Im sure I sowed the seeds just cant remember what flower it is?

haha and this is my broccoli I thought turned into holes and curled up to make the beady bits on the end hahaha. There is holes in 2 of them cant see any pests on them ??
