  • Potatoes

I planted my first earlies(Swift)in bags and they seem to be doing well 60cm high but no flowers after 12-13 weeks. Whereas my main crop is covered with flowers, can any body help ?

From other threads I would say don't worry about the flowers.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Note that Swift potatoes only have very small flowers - quite easy to miss.

I used to grow Swift every year. Usually ready before the 10 week mark maybe a little slower this year.

I have never seen a flower on a Swift, just appears to be one of those plants that don't........... flower that is.

I grew Swift this year, and they have been good, hardly any flowers tho, I have dug them all up now as needed space for beans, some were big enough to use for 'jacket potatoes'. So think you should as a look, I put mine in at beginning of April and had first ones at beginning of June.
