  • Aromatherapy oils and veg growing

Having done some training in Aromatherapy in the past for family use ,I turned to my reference book this am to check something out and came across a forgotten chapter on gardening uses.
Most of us know about using plants like Tagetes but the oil , like many others can be used -6 drops in 2 litres to water the veg to keep off carrot fly ,eel worm, greenfly etc. There is a host of oils and uses and GRO could do an article on insect repellent, companion uses, moulds and fungi. I have also found a use for my horsetail ( mildew on cucumbers ) although I have found a VERY effective weed killer.
I hope to try out some this year as I have most oils.

If you really can deter carrot fly you could make a fortune. I've tried everything over the years and the only thing that really works every time is a physical barrier such as enviromesh
