We found this next to the pond, it's low growing/clumping and has a raspberry type leaf. I've put the glove next to it for scale.

Looks like meadowsweet. (Filipendula ulmaria). It should have tall frothy cream flowers a bit like spirea which I think it's related to and is very sweetly scented. Likes the damp and has herbal uses but I like it for the scent.Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land

I knew it was familiar but couldn't put a name to it!! Usually spot it when its much taller.
