  • Broccoli Dying?

Planted these purple sprouting broccoli (see pics) a few weeks ago and they don't appear to be doing well.

Wilting and leaves are turning a yellowy-ish white.

Although just this morning there are a few that seem to be sprouting new leaves...but I don't feel confident.

I'm a bit of a newbie and have not got off to a good start.

Any idea what I can do?

Where are they? Greenhouse or outside? In pots or in open ground?

Outside in a very large potato grow bag - about 2 and a half feet of soil deep.

Did you harden them off before planting them outside? That papery white thing on the leaves is usually either wind or sun scorch, caused by the leaves being too 'soft' and losing more moisture than the roots can keep up with. If you have any horticultural fleece, you could cover them up for a few days to recover a bit and then take it off for increasingly longer periods to toughen them up slowly.

My lettuce seedlings have gone that way after a day in hot sun (rain was forecast)
